Over the years we have lost sales for the simple reason that the client did not want to have a gemstone bangle that they felt may draw too much attention. It may sound like a strange reason for not getting an instrument that can change the tangent of our karmic upliftment. But we have to respect that some of us live in parts of the world are more close-minded and strongly opinionated than others. To help counter this negative potentiality we have created several gem hiding designs that still allow for the largest area of the gem to touch the skin.
The benefits of wearing Pure Noble Metals.
Over the years we have repaired a lot of three metal astrological bangles made by Self- Realization Fellowship. Even though Swami Sri Yukteswar wore a nine gem bangle and not a three metal astrological . Meditation students of Paramahansa Yogananda generally always think of getting this form of karmic strengthening first and often do not think of other more powerful gem-based instruments for mitigating karma.
Swami Sri Yukteswar extolled the benefits of wearing metals and gems, as quoted by Yogananda in his Autobiography of a Yogi:
“This problem received attention from our rishis; they found helpful not only a combination of metals, but also of plants and, most effective of all, faultless jewels of not less than two carats. The preventive uses of astrology have seldom been seriously studied outside of India…. For general purposes I counsel the use of an armlet of gold, silver and copper.”
It is this last sentence of Swami Sri Yukteswar’s “For general purposes I counsel the use of an armlet of gold, silver and copper.”
That we realized that if we made our spring links much thicker the very soft pure silver and gold links could be strong enough to integrate into a multi-gem bangle. This way we could not only offer the benefits of astrological ayurvedic gemstones but also pure metals so highly regarded by Swamiji. This way an individual can wear one bangle instead of two.
The photo of Paramahansa Yogananda who wrote the amazing spiritual classic “The Autobiography of a Yogi” wearing three vedic astrological bangles the one on his right arm is a nine-gem astrological bangle similar to the one that Swami Sri Yukteswar also wore. And the bangles on his left arm are the three metal bangle of pure gold, silver and copper as well as another of a lead –silver alloy. We have incorporated a design option in the bangles whereby the client can have the option to go with sterling silver or the more thick walled and heavier pure silver Spring links. Some clients go a step further and have a complete stretchable spring bangle made out of all three metals like the picture above.
Some times a client who has bought a nine-gem bangle is so happy with the results that they feel inclined to strengthen the influence of gemstones touching the skin a little further and for this we have an option of making the bangle into a joined parallel design.
And just for the fun of it because some individuals need to see what a laboratory grown emerald can look like. We thought we would include this picture. More often or not such emerald clusters are incorrectly sold as natural specimens .
